What you get

Recaps post to a channel

When a session ends, its recap posts to the channel you chose: the summary, key points, action items with owners, and a link back. It can happen automatically, or one session at a time with Send to Slack.

Ask from inside Slack

Mention Assistly in a channel, message it, or type /assistly. It answers from your meetings and from the thread you asked in, so you can ask whether you agreed to what someone said a few messages up.

Channels become memory

Run /invite @Assistly in a channel and Assistly starts reading it. From then on you can ask what #deals decided about Acme, on a call, on the web, or in Slack, and get the answer with a link to the message.

Ask it to send

Say “send my open tickets to me on Slack” or “post today’s action items in #sales”. Assistly pulls the content from your tools and meetings, then posts it as the Assistly bot with your name on it.

Work memory

It does not matter where a decision was made

Half of what a team decides is said in a meeting. The other half is typed into a channel afterwards. Assistly keeps both, so one question covers them, and every answer names the call or the message it came from, with a link.

Set up in a minute

    In Assistly, open Integrations, then Apps, then Slack, and press Connect. Slack asks you to allow it once.

    Turn on Post recaps automatically and pick the channel they go to.

  3. 03

    In Slack, open a channel you want Assistly to read and run /invite @Assistly. It reads the last 30 days and keeps up from there.

    Ask a question. Mention @Assistly in a channel, message it, or type /assistly.

Private by design

Who can search a channel matches who is in it.

  • Members only. A channel can be searched only by people who are in it and have connected Assistly. Nobody sees a channel they are not in.
  • Only where it is invited. The bot reads the channels it has been added to and the messages sent to it. It does not read the rest of your workspace.
  • Removing it deletes what it read. Remove @Assistly from a channel and everything it stored from there is deleted. You can also stop reading a channel from Integrations.
  • It does not record itself. The bot's own recap posts and answers are never stored. Memory is what people said, not what Assistly did.

Reading is also limited on purpose: a set number of channels per workspace, a daily cap per channel, and stored content is kept for six months. Read the privacy policy for the details.
