Assistly now connects to your Google Calendar

By The Assistly team ·

The moment before a call is the busiest one. You're finding the link, skimming the invite to remember who's on it, and trying to recall what this meeting was even about — all while the clock ticks past the start time.

Assistly now reads your Google Calendar, so that scramble mostly disappears. Connect it once (read-only), and your assistant knows what's next, who's on it, and how to join — without you leaving the overlay.

What you get

  • Your agenda, in the overlay. Open the Calendar panel (avatar menu → Calendar) and today's meetings are right there — titles, times, and the ones with a video link.
  • One-tap Join. Hit Join on an event and Assistly opens the call and starts a live session in the same tap — so it's already listening and tracking who's speaking from the first hello, instead of you remembering to start it thirty seconds in.
  • Schedule-aware answers. Because your upcoming events travel with your questions, you can ask things mid-flow — "what's my next meeting?", "who's on the 2 o'clock?", "help me prep for the sync after this" — and get an answer grounded in your actual calendar, not a guess.

It works the same across meetings, sales calls, and interviews, alongside everything Assistly already does: live talking points, multi-speaker tracking, and organized notes after every session.

It's read-only, and it's yours

Connecting your calendar is a separate, read-only step — it's not part of signing in, and Assistly only ever reads your events. It never creates, edits, or deletes anything, and you can disconnect at any time from the same panel.

And like everything in Assistly, the overlay showing your agenda is excluded from screen capture at the OS level — it never appears in a screen share or recording, so glancing at your next meeting mid-call stays between you and your screen.

Prefer it to just notice?

If you'd rather not connect a calendar at all, Assistly can also detect when a call starts on its own — a quiet "Meeting detected" prompt offers to start a session the moment a meeting app goes live. Calendar-connected or not, the goal is the same: you never have to remember to hit record.

Turn it on

Open the avatar menu → CalendarConnect Google Calendar, approve the read-only permission, and your agenda shows up right away. That's it.

As always, use live assistance within the rules of the meeting, call, or interview you're in, and mind recording-consent laws where participants are.
