The 5 best LockedIn AI alternatives in 2026
By The Assistly team ·
LockedIn AI has solid live coding support, but the recurring complaints send a lot of users looking for something better: a 4–5 second "latency stare," a browser extension that shows up on screen share, and declined refunds. Here are the five best alternatives in 2026.
1. Assistly: best overall value
Assistly fixes the two things LockedIn users complain about most: latency and a detectable extension. Guidance streams in real time, and the overlay is excluded from screen capture at the OS level on macOS and Windows on every plan. There is no browser extension to get caught in the toolbar. It also adds persona-tuned answers, multi-speaker context, and headphone support across interviews, meetings, and sales calls.
- Price: Free (3 full sessions/month) · Pro $14.99/mo unlimited
- Best for: Low-latency, invisible guidance without a four-figure lifetime tier
- Trade-off: Native desktop app; no iOS app yet
2. Final Round AI: best for practice and the job hunt
All-in-one suite with strong mock interviews.
- Price: Free tier; paid ~$99–$149/mo
- Watch for: Cancellation/rebilling complaints; generic live Copilot
3. InterviewMan: cheapest interview-only assistant
Affordable with broad integrations and interviewer-only triggering.
- Price: $30/mo, or $12/mo annually
- Watch for: No partial refunds; interview-only
4. Interview Solver: budget coding overlay
Cheap LeetCode/system-design help with a free tier.
- Price: ~$39–49/mo
- Watch for: Not truly real-time; stability issues on hard questions
5. Cluely: biggest brand
Broad real-time overlay with CRM integrations.
- Price: Pro ~$20/mo; undetectability tier ~$149.99/mo
- Watch for: Billing complaints; undetectability paywall
How to choose
For coding-interview practice, LockedIn AI is still capable. If the latency and the visible extension are dealbreakers, and for most live interviews they are, Assistly gives you real-time, invisible, persona-tuned guidance across every kind of conversation at a flat $14.99/month.
